LV Raiders 2023-24 NFL Win Total + Season Record Predictions & Odds

The 2023-24 NFL season is finally here, and we’re happy to give our Las Vegas Raiders predictions for this year. The Raiders are always a bit of a mystery, as they’re coming off a disappointing six-win season, and have a lot of changes to their roster. This will hopefully prove to be a positive for Las Vegas, despite losing nine-year quarterback Derek Carr. This was a tough decision for the Raiders, as Carr held many records and gave everything he had to this team. 

Despite his departure, Vegas brought in a proven winner with Jimmy Garoppolo. Garoppolo has been to the Super Bowl, and nearly won it, with plenty of playoff games under his belt. This was something Carr wasn’t very familiar with. Raiders fans are excited to start fresh at QB, though, and Garoppolo is a smart, solid guy to take over. 

On top of that, head coach Josh McDaniels is familiar with Garoppolo from their time together in New England. An issue for Carr was learning new schemes under McDaniels. Garoppolo and McDaniels should be able to mesh quickly for this reason. Also, the Raiders return their entire offensive line, which helped Josh Jacobs lead the league in rushing yards last season. 

Speaking of Jacobs, the holdout is officially over, and we’re expecting another huge season out of him. He’s familiar with this offensive line and there’s no reason to believe he should decline this year. Las Vegas Raiders NFL Season Record & Schedule Predictions

As we dive into Las Vegas' season and make our Raiders predictions, we see a very difficult schedule. The AFC West division is one of the best in the NFL, with the Chiefs, Chargers and an improved Broncos team aiming for the top. Playing all of these teams twice is an obvious challenge for the Raiders, but we think they can steal some of these games. However, The Raiders defense may be a bit of a problem this year. 

Outside Maxx Crosby at defensive end, there isn’t much to be excited about. This puts more pressure on Garoppolo, who will likely need to be clutch in higher-scoring games. If the Raiders want to make some noise this year, they’ll probably need to beat the Broncos twice, and the Chargers at least once. On Sunday 9/10, the Raiders open up on the road in Denver, and this feels like a must-win game if they want to set the tone for the rest of the year. 

With Davante Adams returning alongside Hunter Renfrow, we predict the Raiders to come out on top despite Denver having a solid defense. In Week 2, the Raiders go to a hostile Buffalo environment to face the Bills. Vegas fans would love to go shock the Bills, but it’s safe to say this is most likely a loss. The next stretch of games comes with potential wins, however. They play the Steelers at home, the Chargers, the Packers at home, the Patriots at home and then the Bears. The Raiders hope to win 2-3 of these games in this stretch. 

The Steelers, Packers, Patriots and Bears are all potential wins. After this stretch, the Raiders will see the Lions, Giants and Jets. These are all tough matchups, but also opportunities for confidence-building wins. We predict the Raiders can steal at least one, maybe two of these games. Up next are the Dolphins, Chiefs, Vikings and Chargers. This is a brutal stretch for Las Vegas at a make-or-break point in the season. They’ll need to find a way to beat one of their division rivals in this stretch, and hopefully the Vikings or Miami. 

To wrap up the regular season, the Raiders face the Chiefs on the road, which is obviously a tough one, but then they face the Colts, which should be a win. They finish off the season against the Broncos at home which they should also come on top of. All in all, this schedule looks very difficult, but there are plenty of potential wins to be had for an optimistic new-look Raiders team. 

Our official Raiders predictions are pit the Raiders at 7-10, with a couple of exciting upsets. The Raiders look to be on the upswing, and they hope to be back to playoff form as soon as possible. We believe that seven wins seems very reasonable for this squad.

As stated above, we believe the Raiders can win at least seven games this season. Their win total is currently set at 6.5 wins, which seems about right for a solid team with some question marks. A new QB, the addition of Jakobi Meyers and some solid draft picks in Tyree Wilson and Michael Mayer lead us to believe we’ll see a slightly improved Raiders squad from last year.
